The Mayor of Jenin confirmed, on Monday, that the current Israeli invasion of Jenin is the largest and is considered a copy of what happened in the Gaza Strip.

Mohammed Jarar said in press statements: “The city will turn into a deserted and completely destroyed area if the occupation continues.”

He added: “If there is no urgent international intervention, the scale of the disaster in Jenin will be enormous.” Jarar explained that 50% of the city’s neighborhoods do not receive water, food, and electricity due to the Israeli siege.

The mayor of Jenin said: “We have sent distress calls to international organizations and brothers to compel the occupation to stop the military operation.”

The Israeli enemy army blew up about 20 homes in the city of Jenin yesterday evening, Sunday, as part of its ongoing aggression on the city and the camp.

Palestinian sources confirmed that the camp is now empty of residents, as residents were forced to flee since the beginning of the aggression, while no reports of injuries have been received so far, despite the large scale of destruction.

It explained that the enemy forces began planting explosive barrels inside a number of buildings in different neighborhoods of the camp since this morning, noting that the enemy informed through the Palestinian liaison of its intention to blow up these buildings, warning the residents of the city of Jenin and the surroundings of the camp to take the necessary precautions.

The Zionist enemy army continues, for the thirteenth consecutive day, its aggression on the city and camp of Jenin amidst a stifling siege.

Since the beginning of the aggression, 26 Palestinians from the city, the camp and other areas in the Jenin governorate have been martyred, while the occupation has forced most families to flee.

The enemy forces have also destroyed the infrastructure and demolished, burned and blown up dozens of homes, while no final statistics are available yet on the extent of the destruction or losses.
