A meeting chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah was held on Saturday in Ibb province to evaluate the progress of service and development projects and to strategize on improving their implementation.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed al-Madani and Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah, reviewed the progress of community initiative projects across various sectors and districts. Necessary measures were discussed to ensure the successful completion of these projects.
Miftah praised the achievements of the community initiative projects, which are supported by the local authority and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, for their role in improving services for citizens. He called for increased efforts to accelerate the implementation of these projects.
He also highlighted plans to launch economic empowerment projects funded by the General Authority of Zakat, emphasizing the critical role of associations in training and qualifying beneficiaries from low-income families. Additionally, he stressed the importance of addressing environmental pollution through well-structured and practical programs.
Deputy Prime Minister al-Madani underscored the significance of collaboration through community initiatives and government support, noting that local development hinges on both social and economic factors.
He pointed out the state’s efforts to reduce imports by promoting local production, with associations playing a pivotal role in advancing economic empowerment projects.
Governor Salah provided an overview of the projects implemented over the past year, revealing that community initiative projects in the province have amounted to 42 billion Yemeni riyals.
He emphasized the commitment to expanding projects, particularly in the areas of economic empowerment and environmental protection, and to collaborating with relevant authorities to ensure sustainable development.
