The Capital Secretariat, in collaboration with the Office of the General Authority for Endowments in Sana’a, organized an expanded meeting with the participation of both official and community organizations to launch the third phase of the ‘Purify My House’ campaign.

The initiative aims to prepare and clean mosques in preparation for the blessed month of Ramadan.

During the meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister Scholar Muhammad Muftah emphasized the importance of mosque cleanliness and the need for proper care in all aspects.

He described the ‘Purify My House’ campaign in its third year as a positive initiative, expressing hope for even greater success this year by building on the experiences of the past two years.

Scholar Muftah pointed out that while the community is ready to take on the responsibility of cleaning mosques, it requires motivation and organization to enhance its efforts.

He urged the directors of endowment offices in various districts to manage the campaign by focusing on cleaning mosques, their surroundings, and the roads leading to them.

He also called on everyone to contribute to maintaining and cleaning mosques, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan when many people bring food to mosques.

Muftah encouraged collective efforts, urging the emulation of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the care of mosques. He highlighted that God commanded Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail (Ishmael) (peace be upon them) to purify His sacred house.

The First Deputy Prime Minister stated that cleaning the houses of God is one of the most honorable and noble acts a Muslim can undertake.

He stressed that God commanded mosques to be elevated, with His name mentioned in them, and one way to fulfill this is through cleaning, maintenance, and provision of necessary supplies.

First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, highlighted that cleaning and purifying mosques is a great honor for those who take part, following the example of God’s prophets. He emphasized the importance of caring for the houses of God in every aspect.

Al-Madani explained that Yemen’s ancestors understood the significance of mosques as houses of God, which is why they endowed their most valuable assets to them.

He affirmed that Yemeni society, grounded in its faith-based identity and Quranic culture, will contribute to and take the initiative in cleaning and purifying all mosques to ensure they are ready to welcome the month of Ramadan.

Al-Madani urged district directors and mobilization officials in the Capital Secretariat and its districts to take decisive action and motivate the community to participate in cleaning the houses of God, ensuring the success of the ‘Purify My House’ campaign in its third year.
