Armed Clashes between Islah Militias & Tribes In Marib & Al-Qaeda Targets a STC vehicle In Abyan

The Al-Hadd area, south of the city of Marib, which is under occupation control, witnessed armed clashes between members of the Al-Hadd tribe and members of Islah militia.

Local sources reported that the clashes erupted yesterday, following protests by members of the tribe over the non-disbursement of promised financial rewards.

They added that the clashes began with verbal altercations between members of the tribe and leaders of the Islah militia, which escalated into armed clashes using light weapons.

The sources added that members of the tribe sent armed reinforcements to seize water tankers belonging to the Islah militias, who then encircled the village of Al-Hadd.

In addition, an airstrike targeted a military vehicle belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council militias in Mudiyah District, east of Abyan Governorate, yesterday.

Local sources reported that a drone belonging to members of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda targeted a military vehicle belonging to the “Security Belt” militias at the Al-Humaimah site, east of Mudiyah.

Sources suggested casualties among STC members, without revealing the extent of the damage.

They indicated that the airstrike was the fourth since the deployment of the Saudi-funded “Homeland Shield” militias in the Mudiyah and Lawdar districts.

The terrorist elements had obtained a large shipment of drones after seizing control of a truck loaded with drones in an armed ambush in the Badarat area at the Al-Wadiah border crossing, in collusion with Islah militia leaders in Marib at the end of December 2022.
