The General Authority of Zakat office in Al Bayda Governorate launched the distribution of 18,000 bags of wheat to beneficiary families in Rada’a District on Wednesday, in partnership with Al-Salahi Company Limited.
During the launch, Al Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris affirmed that the relief campaign was launched in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council to provide food baskets to the people of Rada’a and promote community solidarity.
He pointed out that the projects implemented by the Zakat Authority, with the support of philanthropists, contribute to assisting thousands of people in need by distributing food baskets and Eid clothing, providing healthcare to patients, supporting economic empowerment programs, and assisting indigent prisoners.
Governor Idris praised the commitment of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council to alleviating the suffering of the people and distributing food aid to them.
He called on businessmen and financiers to take advantage of the holy month to pay their zakat dues to the Authority, so that it can disburse it through its legitimate channels.
Haider Al-Gharib, Director of the General Authority of Zakat Office, explained that the distribution, which included 18,000 beneficiary families, is part of a collaboration with Al-Salahi Company, strengthening the Authority’s charitable and humanitarian role in assisting the poor and needy.
He pointed out the need for everyone to cooperate with the Authority to enhance its role in achieving sustainable community development and delivering zakat to those who deserve it.
