The Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat for Local Authority Affairs, Abdul Latif Al-Omari, inaugurated the charity kitchen in Al-Buniya neighborhood in Al-Tahrir Directorate, which is being implemented for the eighth consecutive year through a community initiative and the contribution of philanthropists.
Al-Omari, the Director of the Directorate, Naji Al-Shaiani, and the Director of General Mobilization in the Directorate, Abdul Latif Al-Wali, listened to an explanation from the official of the charity kitchen, Abdul Rahman Al-Bili, about the role of the kitchen in providing basic food for two thousand needy families in the directorate, by providing dinner meals to those families, on a daily basis throughout the month of Ramadan.
Al-Omari, Al-Shaiani, and Al-Wali stressed the importance of these charitable initiatives in alleviating the burden on needy families, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, praising the efforts of the kitchen management and volunteers in providing food support to deserving families during the holy month.
In a related context, the Director of Al-Wahda Directorate, Sami Humid, inaugurated the work of the charity kitchen organized by the Social Affairs Office in the directorate.
During the inauguration, Humaid, along with a number of the directorate’s leaders, listened to an explanation from the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the directorate, Shahna Al-Nuaimi, about the work of the charity kitchen, which aims to distribute 300 meals to poor and needy families in the directorate.
Humaid praised such charitable projects that work to embody the concepts of solidarity, compassion and social cooperation among the community, and address the needs of the poor and needy and provide them with support, especially in the holy month of goodness and charity.
