Foreign Ministry Warns of “Dire Consequences” over Israeli Occupation Escalation

The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday warned against the Israeli occupation’s continued acts of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry specifically condemned today’s blatant aggression targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, which resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded.

In an official statement, the ministry characterized the direct targeting of civilians as a flagrant violation of ceasefire agreements and all international norms and laws.

It emphasized that this dangerous escalation not only undermines ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire but also portends dire consequences for the security and stability of the entire region, while exacerbating the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip.

The ministry stressed the need for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to uphold its legal and humanitarian responsibilities by taking decisive measures to halt the aggression and ensure the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid.

Furthermore, it reiterated that the United States is a “primary partner” in these crimes, holding Washington fully legally and morally responsible for the ongoing atrocities against the Palestinian people.

On the regional level, the ministry called upon Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their moral and religious duties by taking practical and serious steps to force the occupation to end its unjust siege.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the Republic of Yemen’s unwavering position in supporting the Palestinian people until the aggression ends, the blockade is lifted, and an independent Palestinian state is established across its entire national soil with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
