The Zionist entity’s decision to suspend the operations of 37 humanitarian organizations in the occupied Palestinian territories has made life “unbearable” for survivors of the genocidal war and represents a blatant violation of international law, UN experts warned.
In their report, UN experts said that the Zionist entity’s prohibition on relief organizations working in Gaza represents an escalation in a policy meant to make life unsustainable for a population devastated by genocide.
They argued that this ban “is not an isolated act, but part of a systematic assault on humanitarian operations in the occupied Palestinian territory and another step in the deliberate dismantling of Gaza’s lifeline.”
They emphasized that “genocide survivors in Gaza are battling winter, severe food insecurity, malnutrition and the collapse of the healthcare and education systems.”
“This collective punishment of survivors comes amid sustained attacks on humanitarian personnel and premises and obstruction of aid convoys,” the experts added, underlining that the Zionist occupying forces have killed over 500 humanitarian workers and at least 1,500 health workers in addition to intimidating and harassing humanitarians.
They said that the Zionist occupation has entered a phase of “genocide without witnesses,” achieved through the killing of journalists, preventing their access to affected areas, forcing their expulsion as well as incapacitating and expelling humanitarian organizations.
In this regard, they affirmed that the occupation “has no legal right to block aid or impose coercive requirements on humanitarian organisations,” calling on the international community to “take immediate action to ensure unconditional entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.”
