They held signs calling for Gallant’s immediate arrest and expressed solidarity with the Palestinians who have been subjected to a genocide and ethnic cleansing for over a year.
The reasons for Gallant’s visit to the United States remain unclear, but he led the genocide since its beginning on October 7, 2023, and pushed for the invasion of southern Lebanon on September 23, 2023.
He was dismissed on November 6, 2023, after opposing the law exempting “Haredim” from military service.
On November 21, 2023, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Gallant on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli genocide since October 7, 2023, with US support.
