Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, ‘will be released as part of the sixth batch of the prisoner exchange, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported this morning, Saturday.
On Dec. 27, 2024, the Israeli occupation army arrested Abu Safiya in northern Gaza from his workplace, after they stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital and shut it down.
It is worth noting that Dr. Abu Safiya lost his son Ibrahim as a martyr during the occupation’s raid on the hospital, and he was also injured in an attack that targeted the hospital. Despite this, he refused to leave and continued to treat the sick and injured.
