Foreign Policy: The US Campaign In Yemen Has Failed

The American magazine Foreign Policy sharply criticized the US campaign in Yemen, emphasizing its failure to achieve its declared objectives.

The magazine stated that the intensive campaign in Yemen has so far failed to accomplish either of its two announced goals: restoring freedom of navigation for the Zionist entity in the Red Sea and reestablishing deterrence.

The magazine pointed out that navigation through the Red Sea remains as troubled as it was, despite the US campaign in Yemen, which has cost over one billion dollars in just five weeks.

It added that “the Yemenis” are still defiantly resisting and have warned that Trump has become entangled in a quagmire, escalating their attacks on “Israel” and American warships in the region.

The magazine also criticized the glaring lack of transparency in what it described as the largest US military show of force in Yemen during Trump’s second term.

“The Pentagon is not holding press briefings on the war, and CENTCOM is merely publishing propaganda videos from aircraft carriers!” it added.

Foreign Policy further raised concerns over the pace of US operations, including the ongoing strikes carried out by two US carrier strike groups, which are consuming precision-guided munitions—a resource already in limited supply for the US Navy.
