More international airlines have suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv following a Yemeni ballistic missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport last Sunday.
American Airlines, Delta, and United have also canceled their all flights to “Israel” until the end of next week, according to the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom.
Germany’s Lufthansa has extended its suspension of flights, while Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Air India has also canceled its flights to Israel through May 25.
These measures reflect growing security concerns among global aviation companies after the airport strike and Yemen’s warning to international airlines following its declaration of an aerial blockade on the Israeli entity.
On Friday, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced a renewed strike on the airport and issued another warning to international airlines. Air raid sirens were heard in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and dozens of other locations.
