Millions Rally in Yemen in Support of Gaza

Millions of Yemenis took to the streets of the capital, Sana’a, and other cities, on Friday, in mass rallies in solidarity with the people of Palestine amid the ongoing US-Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The rallies were organized under the slogan, “Steadfast with Gaza, and fully prepared to confront all enemy conspiracies.”

Participants raised slogans affirming Yemenis’ commitment to the Palestinian cause and rejecting all forms of aggression and normalization.

They also emphasized their full readiness to confront the challenges and plots targeting the Axis of Resistance.

A statement from the organizers reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and armed resistance in Gaza.

The statement condemned the efforts to disarm the resistance in Lebanon and pointed out that provoking mercenaries by the enemies to disarm the resistance is part of the Zionist-American aggression that must be confronted with popular opposition.

“Their failure in direct confrontation has forced them to resort to deceitful plots, but these too will fail, God willing. We in Yemen, the land of faith and wisdom, declare our readiness to confront any schemes, under any banner, in any form, from any direction,” the statement read.

It added, “Our enemies are enraged by our honorable stance, but their efforts to strip us of this honor are futile as long as we rely on God.”

It called on Muslims worldwide to support the resistance with funds, weapons, and all necessary means of resilience.

“If Zionists attack us based on false religious claims, how can we not defend ourselves based on the true, just faith ordained by God in the Quran?, the statement read.

Concluding with a warning, the statement said the Muslim world’s silence amid violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque only emboldens Israel’s ambitions, citing the so-called “Greater Israel” plan, which allegedly extends to Mecca and Medina.

“Those unmoved by the massacres in Gaza will likely remain indifferent to atrocities elsewhere,” it said, urging all free people to raise their voices and act to protect Islamic sanctities.
