The military media of the Yemeni army has on Friday released video footage shows air defences shooting down an Austrian-made spy aircraft belonging to the Saudi-led invading coalition in Yemen’s Hodeidah province.
The video showed the wreckage of a Schiebal Camcopter S-100.
The aircraft was downed in Ras Issa area after violating Yemeni airspace and engaging in a surveillance mission on Hodeidah province, in clear violation of the Stockholm agreement.
The shooting comes two months after the Yemeni armed forces revealed two types of air defence systems, Fater-1 and Thaqib-1, which have been used in the battlefield since 2017.
