Revolution leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi blessed on Wednesday brides and grooms in a collective wedding organized by the General Authority of Zakat for 3300 people in the capital Sana’a.
“Since the start of the aggression and until today, the Yemeni people, rely on the Almighty Allah, have persevered in the battlefields and fronts as well as in all fields of life”, Abdul Malik al-Houthi said.
Al-Houthi added marriage ceremonies are held from the beginning of the aggression and until today while the wheel of life continues and moves despite the unjust aggression on the Yemeni people.
The revolution leader went on saying ” this mass wedding is a message to the aggression coalition, whatever your aggression, whatever your crimes and tyranny, we will continue our lives in every area of life.
He pointed out that the wedding is an expression of the steadfastness of the Yemeni people that embodies the high value of social solidarity in Islam, topped by Zakat, Almsgiving, ‘is the third pillar of Islam’
Al-Houthi noted that paying Zakat contributes to solving problems and strengthening brotherhood, stability, and social cohesion among the Yemeni people.
“Zakat prescribes payment of fixed proportions of a Muslim’s possessions for the welfare of the entire community and in particular for its neediest members”.
He called on the concerned authorities, especially in the judiciary, security agencies and all relevant authorities to support Zakat Authority, stressing that everyone in the State institutions should support the authority to do its duties completely.
The Leader of the Revolution stressed the importance of joining all against anyone who procrastinates, evades, and denies this important Islamic duty.
The leader said “Paying Zakat as a substitute for the need for foreign organizations that operate according to their agendas and are subject to political and security influence and international blackmail”.
He also stressed the importance of getting rid of some negatives that are associated with wedding celebrations, including the shooting, which poses a danger and threat to people’s lives, noting shooting should not at weddings but at military fronts to confront the enemies.
