The General Authority for Zakat, in coordination with the Yemen Scholars Association and the Guidance Office in the Capital Sana’a, organized on Monday the expanded meeting for scholars, preachers and guides in the capital.
The meeting discussed the role of preachers and scholars in educating people about the importance of maintaining prayer, paying zakat, and relieving the concerns of the needy.
The projects of the Zakat Authority and their tangible impact on the poor and needy were reviewed in the meeting.
The meeting came out with a number of recommendations that emphasized, in their entirety, the necessity of sensing responsibility towards the obligation of Zakat and presenting it as Allah wanted, carrying out the legal duty entrusted to scholars, preachers and guides, strengthening Zakat awareness work and activating the mosque’s message in this field.
