Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’s political bureau, announced on Tuesday that the group’s response to the truce agreement was handed over to the brothers in Qatar and mediators.
“The movement delivered its response to the brothers in Qatar and the mediators, and we are close to reaching a truce agreement,” Haniyeh told Reuters.
For his part, Hamas leading member, Izzat Al-Rishq, said that there is real progress in the negotiations, and we are nearing a truce agreement.
“Any agreement we reach will necessarily be according to the conditions of the resistance. The announcement of the agreement’s details will be made by our brothers in the State of Qatar and the mediators, he elaborated.
