Al-Sami’i meets with the head of the Doctors Without Borders mission in Yemen

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami’i, was briefed today by the head of the Dutch Doctors Without Borders mission in Yemen, Tila Muhammad, on the medical and humanitarian activities carried out by the organization in Taiz Governorate and the level of their quality.

During his meeting with Tayla Muhammad, Al-Sami’i praised the efforts and activities of Doctors Without Borders in Yemen in general and Taiz in particular, hoping that the organization would maintain and expand its medical activities and pay attention to the administrative aspects to achieve the desired goals.

Al-Sami’i listened to the interventions of the Dutch Doctors Without Borders organization in the Mother and Child Hospital in Al-Hawban, pointing out the importance of transferring the organization’s activities to a joint management between the Dutch Doctors Without Borders and the Ministry of Health.

The meeting was attended by member of the Shura Council, Abdul-Wasi Zajal, Assistant Director of Taiz Security, Brigadier General Rashad Al-Sama’i, Corinne Benzelak, director of operations for the Dutch MSF organizations in the Berlin office, and the health advisor in the Amsterdam office, Abdul-Wasi Molazadeh.
