Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns Israeli enemy entity against continuing its schemes in Somalia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned the Israeli enemy entity against continuing to implement its schemes in Somalia, the latest of which is the so-called decision to appoint an entity ambassador in Hargeisa.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered in a statement this step a blatant and flagrant violation of international law, the sovereignty of Somalia, its independence, and territorial integrity.

It affirmed that the Israeli efforts aimed at making the Somaliland region a launchpad for the activities of the Israeli enemy entity against Somalia and the countries of the region will not succeed.

The statement stressed that the Israeli presence in Somalia undermines security and stability in the region and poses a direct threat to the security of the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Horn of Africa, international navigation, and global trade.

It called on the countries bordering the Red Sea and all Arab and Islamic countries to take serious steps to confront the Zionist schemes in Somalia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the affirmation of the Republic of Yemen’s steadfast position supporting the Somali people and the security and stability of Somalia, and that any Israeli presence in the Somaliland region is a red line that cannot be accepted and will be confronted.
