Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jamal Ahmed Amer, met with the Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) and Head of the Redeployment Coordination Committee in Hodeidah, General Michael Perry, on the occasion of the completion of his term.
During the meeting, Minister Amer expressed his appreciation for General Michael Perry’s efforts over the past three years in overseeing the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement.
He stressed the need for the United Nations to take a clear stance on the triple terrorist aggression on Yemen, which includes Israeli, American, and British attacks on the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa, Salif, and power stations.
Minister Amer considered the attacks on Hodeidah’s ports, Ras Issa, Salif, and power plants as a war crime, as they target critical civilian infrastructure that the population relies on for their daily lives.
For his part, General Michael Perry, Head of the UN Mission, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates during his tenure, hoping for peace to prevail soon and fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Amer awarded General Michael Perry with a honorary plaque from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
