President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Saturday met with Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Ra’i.
The President discussed with al-Ra’i the aspects related to the Stockholm Agreement, including the efforts and initiatives made by the Supreme Political Council in this regard, and the role of the Parliament in communicating with the world parliaments to clarify the keenness of the political leadership in Sana’a on the implementation of the agreement despite the other party’s intransigence.
The meeting also dealt with the Parliament’s letters addressed to the world parliaments and international organizations on the grievance of the Yemeni people as well as praise for the positive attitudes towards Yemen’s aggression and siege.
The meeting touched on the legislative authority’s role in supporting the executive authority’s efforts to address the repercussions of the aggression and siege on the Yemeni people, especially with regard to the economic and service aspects.
