The United Nations handed over on Wednesday a copy of the credentials for the new resident representative of the World Food Programme (WFP) to the Sana’a-based Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf.

This came during Sharaf’s meeting with the WFP’s Acting Resident Representative of the World Food Program in Sanaa, “Irving Prado.”

In the meeting, the minister urged the WFP to rapidly activate aid programs and food baskets to address the repercussions of the humanitarian catastrophe created by the US-backed Saudi-Emirati coalition.

The meeting discussed the program’s efforts to urge donors to fulfill their commitments, enabling the food program to implement its various projects and programs.
