Reports cause suspicion that Saudi artillery shelled own mercenaries on purpose

Military sources have reported that a number of Saudi army mercenaries belonging to the southern provinces, including prominent leaders, were killed by Saudi friendly fire in Jizan.

According to the sources, the intelligence officer of the so-called Yemen Falcons Brigade, Colonel Fouad al-Sabry from Yafa’a district, was killed along with a number of the brigade forces by a Saudi military attack from behind during their attack on the Yemeni army forces of the National Salvation Government in Sana’a in the Dayer sector of Jizan

The sources said Saudi forces did not explain why the brigade’s mercenaries were targeted and bombed, despite three days of demands to reveal the causes of the bombing, which left dozens of people from southern provinces dead.

The rest mercenaries of the brigade on Sunday went on a full-scale strike demanding their return to the southern provinces, but Saudi forces have refused to do so and are still holding them until now.

The sources also confirmed that Saudi airstrikes targeting a battalion of special forces led by southern Colonel Adel Ali bin Ali Hadi al-Musabi as well, killing 6 mercenaries from Bayhan and Shabwah’s, and four others from Dhalea province and wounding eight others.

The sources pointed out that Saleh Hussein al-Raqabi, Hussein Ahmed al-Mansouri, Mohammed Snaid are among the dead, and a number of others whose names were not mentioned
