The Yemeni army and popular committees on Sunday repelled a large-scale attack carried out by mercenries loyal to Saudi army in Asir region, a military official told Saba News Agency.
According to the official, dozens of the mercenries were killed and wounded in the battle which took place in Alib crossing.
A militry vechile loaded with mercenries was desyrpyed with a guided missle, killing and injurig its crews members, the offical said.
The official indicated that the military carried out their foiled attack with intensive air cover of the coalition warplanes, but without making any progress on the ground.
