Yemen’s Ministry of Defense mourns death of top military commander

Yemen’s Ministry of Defence and the Command of the General Staff have on Saturday released a statement mourning the death of Major General Amin Hamid al-Hamyari, commander of the Military Police branch in Saada and assistant commander of the Border Guards who was martyred while defending the sovereignty of the homeland against the Saudi-led coalition aggression and its mercenaries on the border fronts.

The statement praised the patriotic stances and courageous attitudes of al-Hamyari as he advanced the front lines in order to confront the enemies of the homeland in various locations and fronts until he was crowned with martyrdom.

The statement stressed that the blood of the martyr and all other martyrs will not go to waste, and will inspire the continuation of the national struggle, until the complete victory of the nation and the people is achieved and the invaders and their mercenaries will be crushed to the dustbin of history.

The statement also praised “the steadfastness of our people and armed forces and the great sacrifices of the martyrs that have achieved the great victory of the nation and the people against the barbaric and brutal aggression against our country.”

The Ministry of Defence and Command of the General Staff expressed its condolences to the family of the martyr.
