Chairman of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs Abdul Qader Al-Mortada confirmed that the army and popular committees do not have any forcibly hidden prisoners.

He pointed out that 7,000 prisoners of the two parties have been freed through 300 local mediation exchanges process since the committee began its activity in mid-2015.

“No prisoners have been freed through the UN, despite the agreement signed by the parties under their supervision in Sweden,” al-Mortada said in a tweet.

The prisoners’ issue witnesses a suspension because of the aggression forces that reject the exchange of all for all or through successive groups. This made the prisoners’ issue stopped while the United Nations is doing anything.

It is noteworthy that the head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs Al-Mortada announced on September 30, the release of 350 prisoners of US-Saudi mercenaries, including three Saudis in a unilateral step under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Al-Mortada said at a press conference in the capital Sana’a, that we have submitted to the United Nations a unilateral initiative to release 350 prisoners and detainees, that are included in Stockholm agreement
