Members of the Ezz-Al Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian political movement Hamas, has on Thursday held a military parade in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

This is the second parade of its kind, a week after the ceasefire ending Israel’s latest aggression against Gaza.

The show was part of a festival to honour the martyrs who were killed during Israel’s 11-day aggression against the Gaza Strip and to celebrate the victory of the Palestinian resistance in beating back Zionist threats of invasion.

Hundreds of masked Al-Qassam fighters marched through the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis, carrying various types of weapons, including anti-tank missiles, heavy machine guns and sniper rifles.

The parade also saw trucks carrying large-scale rockets, used by the brigades to target Zionist cities during the recent Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

On the sidelines of the festival, a military activist named Abu Anas said that “the brigades are participating in the victory in which Al-Qassam Brigades gave the finest of their leaders.”

“We will continue the path of Jihadb and be prepared for any future battle,” he added

Abu Anas explained that the Palestinian resistance “will remain [reliant] on its own, and any violation against our people and our holy places is a red line. The response will remain present if the aggression continues.”

“Our commitment to a ceasefire depends on the  enemy’s commitment,” said Khaled al-Batsh, a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement during his speech on behalf of Palestinian resistance factions.

“The last battle with the occupation was established for the next phase of liberation, and marked an important turning point in the history of the conflict with the occupation entity,” he explained.
