President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat on Tuesday met General Authority of Zakat (GAZ)’s chairman Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan.
During the meeting the president urged the General Authority of Zakat (GAZ) to pay attention to economic empowerment projects that contribute to creating job opportunities for poor people.
Al-Mashat stressed the importance of completing the data update project for the poor and needy in all provinces of the country to establish an accurate database to ensure the delivery of zakat to those who deserve it.
The meeting discussed the projects implemented by the Authority in the capital Sana’a and other provinces, its plan for the year 2022.
