President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Wednesday said that the state’s orientations for this year focus on building the human being and achieving a free and independent state that represents the high-end model of the state.
President Al-Mashat indicated, during his meeting with the state leaders, that it would not be accepted that there is a functional state, especially as the Yemeni people are fighting all the aggression forces for the eighth year.
“The responsibility is great on all of us, each in the position of his responsibility, to meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people in the desired state, the state of institutions, a state that rejects guardianship and subordination, a state that does not perform a functional role for what is dictated from abroad,” President Al-Mashat said.
President Al-Mashat urged those in charge of state institutions to adopt this approach within institutions and ministries and to start reforming themselves and their surroundings, stressing the need to work on many programs in the field at all levels of administrative services, so that the citizen can feel the impact of these activities, works and reforms in life.
He warned against the consequences of neglecting responsibility, saying “There will be substitution, whether at the collective or individual level, if any person neglects his responsibility.”
President Al-Mashat emphasized the importance of being responsible and dedicated to providing more without looking at what others have achieved before, and being keen to stay away from the bad lining.
With regard to combating corruption, President Al-Mashat stressed the importance of continuing the fight against corruption, and that everyone should move more towards achieving more reforms.
The President pointed out that what is required is development, construction and modernization despite the difficulties. “The real official is the one who can overcome the difficulties, whatever they are.”
He also called for positive interaction with the Higher Agricultural Committee in order to reach self-sufficiency, and with the Yemen Cyclone campaign, as its ultimate goal is to go down to the citizen and see his situation.
President Al-Mashat indicated that among the priorities is reforming and modernizing regulations and laws as a prerequisite for building a state.
“Every official must work to build the state within the framework of his institution, by correctly diagnosing problems and proceeding to address them, because a wrong diagnosis results in a wrong treatment and a wrong result,” he said.
He stressed the need to devote efforts to provide health, transportation, electricity and water services to the citizen, and pay attention to the issue of foodstuffs and deliver them to the citizen without looking at the difficulties.
President Al-Mashat added that “the steadfast Yemeni people deserve a lot, and the indicators and signs have begun to empower and fair this people through the disruption that occurred in the ranks of aggression.”
