Several casualties fall among the forces of the UAE-backed Transitional Council, as a result of an ambush by gunmen in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.
Sources said that an armed group fired at a vehicle belonging to the emergency forces in the village of Jahin, near the Al-Arqoub area in the Lawdar district, northeast of Abyan.
Sources confirmed that the ambush resulted in the injury of two soldiers from the emergency forces.
Since last August, Islah Party has continued to deplete the transitional forces in Abyan through ambushes and surprise attacks that led to the death and injury of dozens of its formations, in response to its exclusion from the Shabwa and Abyan governorates, and the Council’s endeavor to repeat the same scenario in Hadramout.
