About 20 people were killed and injured, Tuesday evening, in a bombing in the city of Aden (southern Yemen).

Media sources in the city said that five people were killed and 14 others, including children, were injured when a gunman detonated two bombs he was carrying following a dispute that broke out in his family.

The sources added that the injured were transferred to Doctors Without Borders Hospital and some hospitals in the city, where a number of them were seriously injured, while the dead were transferred to the hospital morgue.

Sources indicated that the gunman who threw the two bombs suffered severe damage to his right hand during the explosion, which had to be amputated.

Weapon crimes claim dozens of victims in various Yemeni regions, in light of the widespread occurrence of carrying and purchasing weapons, and the de facto authorities in the north and south dealing with the phenomenon with more recklessness and irresponsibility, according to human rights activists.
