The 37th African Union Summit, which was held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, condemned the brutal war waged by the Israeli occupation forces against the residents of the Gaza Strip.

In the summit, the Union also denounced the collective punishment against civilians in Gaza and attempts to forcefully transfer them to the Sinai Peninsula.

They called on Israeli enemy to respond to international calls for a permanent ceasefire in the Strip.

The statement called for the occupation to comply with the decisions of the International Court of Justice to prevent genocide in Gaza and to lift the unjust siege imposed on the Strip.

It also demanded an independent international commission to investigate into the occupation’s use of internationally banned weapons and its targeting of hospitals and media institutions in its war in Gaza.
