Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi expressed deep regret over the crackdown on pro-Palestinian protests at campuses across the United States and other Western countries
Iranian news agencies quoted President Raisi during a cabinet session as saying: “Western countries that claim to respect human rights are committing catastrophic atrocities today by violating the sanctity of universities, freedom of expression, and human rights.”
He added, “The war on Gaza has unmasked the “authoritarian and anti-human rights face” of the West, which has long hidden its true nature under the guise of “deceptive” slogans.”
Raisi expressed hope that the message of solidarity and support from the Iranian students will further encourage the US and Western students in their pursuit of justice for the oppressed Palestinian nation.
