45 migrants Died off Djibouti

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) of the United Nations announced the death of 45 migrants and the survival of 32 others, in addition to the loss of others, after two boats sank off the coast of Djibouti after leaving Yemen.

The United Nations organization said in a statement, “Two boat sinking incidents off the coast of Djibouti resulted in the tragic death of 45 migrants, and many are still missing.”

The organization added that “the two boats left Yemen with 310 people on board, and so far 32 people have survived.”

The International Organization for Migration confirmed that it “supports government emergency services in search and rescue operations.”
