International Report: Israeli army responsible for half of global explosive weapon deaths in 2025

The Explosive Weapons Monitor’s 2025 report found that armed conflicts worldwide caused heavy civilian casualties due to explosive weapons.

It said the “Israeli” army was responsible for over half of global civilian deaths from such weapons, especially amid the ongoing war on Gaza.

The report recorded at least 22,600 civilians killed or injured across 65 countries in 2025.

It cited airstrikes, drone attacks, landmines, and banned cluster munitions as key causes.

Despite a ceasefire announcement in October 2025, Gaza continued to face near-daily strikes.

The report also highlighted mass child casualties in Gaza and a sharp rise in drone attacks on displacement camps, increasing from 64 incidents in 2024 to 303 in 2025.
