On the occasion of the annual Martyr’s Day, Minister of information Hashem Sharaf al-Din and his deputy Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti visited the Hamas office in Sana’a.

They presented certificates of appreciation to the families of Palestinian journalists who were martyred during the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” battle.

Minister Sharaf al-Din emphasized that the role played by Palestinian journalists and media in the battle was exceptional and deserves recognition.

He described it as unique, highlighting the solidarity of the Palestinian, Arab, and regional resistance in confronting the Israeli occupation.

Sharaf al-Din acknowledged that Palestinian, Lebanese, and Yemeni journalists were all targeted during the ongoing struggle against the US-Israeli-British axis.

He stressed the importance of their unified media front in exposing Israeli propaganda and disinformation.

The Minister underscored that Yemen’s Ministry of Media will continue to support the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements and will not spare any efforts in advocating for the Palestinian cause.

He praised the resilience of Palestinian and Lebanese resistance groups, especially in light of the sacrifices and struggles, including the martyrdom of key resistance leaders.

He also commended the steadfastness of Palestinian resistance factions and their painful strikes against the Israeli occupation, along with the bravery shown by leaders like martyr Yahya Sinwar.

The Minister emphasized that these acts of resistance provide motivation for all in the struggle against the occupation.

For his part, Hamas representative Moaz Abu Shamala expressed deep gratitude for the recognition by the Ministry of information.

He noted that Palestinian journalists are the voice of the oppressed, documenting Israeli crimes in Gaza and beyond.

He also commended the efforts of the Yemeni people and their continuous support for Palestine.

Abu Shamala praised Yemen’s role in the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation, stating that Yemen had made significant contributions to the battle, including efforts to impose a maritime blockade on Israeli ships.

He also emphasized Yemen’s bold actions against US and Israeli military vessels in the Indian Ocean.
