The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly denounced the U.S. decision to include Ansarullah on its list of foreign terrorist organizations, labeling the move as unjust and politically motivated.

In a statement, the ministry condemned the classification in the strongest terms, describing it as an attack on the Yemeni people as a whole and their honorable stance in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian cause. It further criticized the decision as a reflection of the U.S. administration’s deep bias toward the Zionist regime.

“The US has a long history of labeling those who oppose its policies and reject its dictates as terrorists, often imposing sanctions on them. This decision is no different,” the ministry stated.

The ministry also pointed out that those who should be designated as terrorists are the perpetrators of atrocities against civilians in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

Highlighting the ongoing aggression and blockade against Yemen since March 26, 2015, the ministry noted that the campaign was launched and fully supported by Washington.

The statement warned of the severe humanitarian consequences of the US designation, calling on the international community, along with human rights and humanitarian organizations, to condemn the decision and its impact on Yemen’s already dire humanitarian situation.
