Prime Minister Inaugurates International Coffee Fair In Sana’a

Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi inaugurated on Sunday Sana’a inaugurated the activities of the International Coffee Fair in Sana’a, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, in collaboration with Public Corporation for Coffee Development and Marketing. . The event will last for five days.

The Prime Minister, along with other officials, toured the fair’s pavilions, which include a variety of coffee products.

Following the inauguration and visit, the Prime Minister praised the fair’s diverse offerings, noting the high quality of Yemeni coffee, which has gained worldwide fame beyond Yemen’s borders.

He highlighted the historical photographs and documents displayed in the fair, telling the story of the rich history of Yemeni coffee, which was exported to various countries around the world via the port of Mocha, which flourished during its heyday.

Al-Rahwi affirmed the government’s support for farmers and traders in both domestic and international coffee markets, pledging to stand by them in all stages of production and export and to protect Yemeni coffee from smuggled varieties.

He commended the efforts of both the public and private sectors, as well as civil society, which contributed to the increase in coffee production and its export abroad.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the preparation of the fair, including the historical documents pavilion, which Yemenis should see to learn about their history and that of their ancestors, as well as to all farmers, traders, and exporters who participated in the fair.”
