US Admits Losing 7 Reaper Drones To Yemen Since March 3

Two American officials confirmed to Fox News that Yemeni forces have shot down seven MQ-9 Reaper drones since March 3, including during the Trump administration.

According to the officials, six of these US MQ-9 drones were brought down since CENTCOM began its airstrikes in mid-March. They emphasized that the downing of expensive American assets continues despite 40 days having passed since the start of the air campaign in Yemen.

US media outlets have previously revealed the extent of the financial losses sustained by the US military as a result of its escalation in Yemen, reporting that the toll reached $1 billion in just one month.

Washington’s drones continue to fall one after another in Yemen’s provinces. The Yemeni Air Defenses recently brought down their 22nd advanced MQ-9 Reaper off the coast of Hajjah Province.

The downing of 22 drones in just a year and a half stands as a powerful testament to the growing capabilities of the Yemeni Armed Forces and to an escalating confrontation fueled by a determined national will.
