The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning on Tuesday forecast cold and relatively dusty weather in mountainous highlands, plateaus, and desert areas over the next 24 hours.
According to the center, cold conditions are expected in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al Bayda, northern Ibb, western Al Jawf, and southern Marib.
Relatively cold to cold weather is expected in the highlands of Hajjah, Mahwit, Al Bayda, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and in the plateaus and deserts of Shabwah, Hadramawt, and Al Mahrah.
Dusty conditions are likely in desert areas, interior plateaus, and parts of the southern and eastern coasts, with light dust expected in some mountainous areas, which should dissipate within 24 hours.
The center warned residents in desert areas, plateaus, highlands, and coastal regions to take precautions against dust, especially the elderly, children, and those with health conditions. Travelers and residents in mountainous and plateau regions were also advised to prepare for cold temperatures during nighttime and early morning hours
