Israeli Strikes Kill journalists in Southern Lebanon

Two Lebanese journalists were killed on Saturday when an Israeli drone strike hit their vehicle  in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that the strike on a road in the Jezzine area hit a vehicle carrying journalists, killing Al-Manar correspondent Ali Shoaib and Al-Mayadeen reporter Fatima Ftouni, along with two others.

Al-Manar TV, affiliated with Hezbollah, also confirmed the death of its correspondent Ali Shoaib, saying he was killed in an Israeli strike on a media vehicle in Jezzine. The channel said Ftouni and cameraman Mohammed Ftouni were also among those killed.

In a statement, Al-Manar said Shoaib had worked as a correspondent in southern Lebanon for many years, covering major events including the period before Israel’s withdrawal in 2000, the 2006 war, and subsequent conflicts, as well as reporting from Syria and Iraq.

The channel described Shoaib as a dedicated field journalist known for his professionalism and credibility.
