Armed clashes renewed today between gunmen from the Al-Adiou tribe and other tribes in the Habban district of Yemen’s Shabwah province, amid heightened tensions in the area.
Local sources said the fighting resumed after one of the wounded died from injuries sustained in earlier clashes between the two sides several days ago.
Following the announcement of the death, armed men from both sides mobilized, triggering a new round of fighting and further escalating tribal tensions in the district.
According to the 26 September website, the clashes come amid continued insecurity in Shabwah and other provinces, alongside a growing number of tribal feuds and a complete security vacuum.
