Mahdi al-Mashat, president of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, sent cables of congratulations to leaders of Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1448 AH and the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s migration (Hijra).
In the cables, President al-Mashat expressed his sincere sentiments and best wishes to the leaders, while highlighting the significance of the occasion and the lessons Muslims can draw from it.
He highlighted the significance of the occasion, saying Muslims draw important lessons from it about historical eras and the suffering humanity endured during times of ignorance, darkness and corruption.
He said God’s blessing was immense when He sent Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and revealed the Holy Quran to guide people from darkness into light
Al-Mashat explained the lessons of the Prophet Muhammad’s migration underscore the importance for nations and peoples of following guidance, standing for what is right, and uniting their ranks to confront forces of evil and arrogance, namely the United States, “Israel” and their allies.
He said history was repeating itself, adding that hostile conspiracies against the Islamic nation were no different from those seen in earlier periods.
Al-Mashat warned that surrendering to what he described as arrogant and tyrannical powers would result in losses both now and in the future, stressing that “Israel” is an enemy of the entire nation and a threat to Islam.
President al-Mashat called on free nations and forces to unite against what he described as forces of evil and their allies, and to support the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran in confronting tyranny.
He concluded the messages by praying to Allah the Almighty to return this blessed occasion on them and the peoples of their countries with goodness and blessings, and to grant the Islamic nation the glory and prosperity it aspires to achieve.
