President Al-Mashat congratulates Iran on ‘major victory’ against US-Israeli military campaign

Yemen’s President, Mahdi Al-Mashat, congratulated the leadership and people of Iran on a major victory against the military campaign waged by the United States and Israel, saying the outcome carries significant implications for regional security and the balance of power in the Middle East.

Al-Mashat extended congratulations to the Yemeni people, members of the Armed Forces and security services, and the wider Islamic world on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.

Al-Mashat praised Iran’s leadership, including Supreme Leader Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, for the effective management of the conflict and a decisive response that targeted the interests and military facilities of the attacking parties. He said those measures, combined with public resilience and internal cohesion, helped halt the offensive and undermine its objectives.

He also commended the Iranian Armed Forces and the IRGC, describing their performance as an inspiring example of steadfastness and military capability.

According to Al-Mashat, the significance of the outcome extends beyond Iran, arguing that it strengthens the security and stability of countries across the region and helps counter American and Israeli policies of dominance and aggression.

He said the conflict demonstrated that determined nations can defend their sovereignty and defeat attempts to impose political or military pressure, regardless of the resources available to their adversaries.

He further argued that the confrontation marked a turning point in regional deterrence, asserting that military aggression can no longer be carried out without consequences and that nations’ resolve can establish new strategic realities.

Al-Mashat also said Iran’s commitment to coordinating regional fronts on both the military and diplomatic levels contributed to efforts that led to a halt in Israeli military operations against Lebanon, adding that force remains the only language understood by the Israeli enemy and that policies of concession encourage further aggression.

At the same time, he cautioned that setbacks suffered by the US and the Israeli enemy do not mean they have abandoned their long-term objectives, calling for continued vigilance, unity, and efforts to preserve gains and strengthen regional capabilities.
