Yemen’s military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sare’e, said on Tuesday that the country’s air defenses had shot down a Wing Loong II reconnaissance drone belonging to the “Saudi enemy” while it was carrying out hostile missions in Yemen’s central province of Al-Bayda at dawn.
“The drone was targeted with an appropriate weapon, thanks be to God,” Sare’e said in a brief statement.
He added that the Yemeni Armed Forces are fully prepared to confront any violation of our country’s airspace and sovereignty.
Sare’e affirmed that the Yemeni Armed Forces “will not stand idly by in the face of any aggression.”
