Magnitude 6.0 earthquake strikes Gulf of Aden

The Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center recorded an earthquake of 6.0 magnitude on the Richter scale in the Gulf of Aden, 173 km off the Yemeni coast.

 

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center explained that the earthquake was recorded at 12:07 PM and was considered strong, with a depth of 10 km.

 

The center had also recorded two minor tremors in the past few hours southwest of the city of Ataq in Shabwa Governorate.
