Mohammed Al-Houthi responds to Saudi Foreign Ministry’s statement regarding details of its defense minister’s visit to Iran

Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi said that “the Saudi Foreign Ministry’s statements that its defense minister’s visit to Tehran comes in order to reduce escalation in the region and that it looks forward to the parties to the crisis dealing positively and practically with the results of the visit and mediation efforts, contradicts its actual practical reality of escalation against Yemen and its siege that has continued and continues from 2015 until today.”

Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi affirmed in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that what the Saudi Foreign Ministry claims about a pivotal role in stabilizing the region’s security contradicts what it is doing in terms of escalation, killing, siege, targeting, and occupation of Yemen.

He noted that the real action that Saudi Arabia must take is to stop its aggression, lift its siege on the Yemeni people, and exit its occupation of Yemen. These are the things it must understand as the path and means to stop what is happening today and its escalation against Yemen. He pointed out that Saudi Arabia has tried through its previous alliances, and the alliances did not work, but rather it worked to overthrow those who allied with it, and this is a known matter.

The member of the Supreme Political Council explained that what they call today “defense of Mecca” is a move to consider resolving the crisis of the Islamic Republic of Iran, or what they called a crisis, which is a clear and explicit aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and an attempt to portray itself as innocent, peaceful, and keen on peace in the region, which is the opposite of what it does in the Republic of Yemen and other areas, countries, and lands.

He added: “Therefore we say to these people that you are moving with a state that continuously works against the interests of others, destroys the peoples of the region, besieges them, kills their sons, impoverishes them, works to impoverish them, bombs their economic facilities, and commits all crimes against the Republic of Yemen, and this is something known and not hidden from anyone.”

Regarding the position of the Egyptian regime and its impact, the member of the Supreme Political Council said: “It is truly noteworthy that when these people go for what they call peace in the region, Egypt and its parliament announce support for what is called the defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and by this it declares war against the Republic of Yemen, and it also provides a great service to Israel, the usurping occupying entity that awaits the opportunity to pounce on Sinai and control large parts of Egypt.”

He affirmed that this position of the Egyptian regime draws the sons of the Egyptian people once again as they were drawn in the sixties, with the aim of consuming and exhausting the Egyptian forces again so that the Israeli enemy can pounce again on Sinai and expel the Palestinians to it, as is announced and known in the policy of the usurping occupying entity.

He added: “We are not afraid of any alliance that occurs, but we warn that these alliances must be directed against the usurping entity that declares war on our brothers in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, and other areas, and is preparing for war even against Egypt. It is supposed that there should be a direction and vigilance to eliminate this danger, the danger of the entity, not that Egypt, Turkey, or Pakistan head toward continuing and supporting the continuation of criminality against the Republic of Yemen, against our country and our people, toward the continuation of the siege on our country, the continuation of the occupation of our country, and that this cooperation should be on the right path in eliminating the usurping entity.”

Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi affirmed that the Republic of Yemen asks for nothing more than that the aggression against it be stopped, the siege on its people be lifted, and compensation be made for what was destroyed during the years of aggression on Yemen from 2015 until today.

He stressed that everything the Sayyid Leader spoke about in his speech in this regard must be paid attention to, reviewed, and listened to. He said: “The Sayyid Leader spoke in his last speech about what must be done, and how we view this aggression, and that with their stopping, everything will stop and life will return to normal.”

As for Bab al-Mandab or otherwise, the member of the Supreme Political Council said: “We do not constitute a danger but rather protection for this country, just as we constitute protection for the Suez Canal and other parts of our vast Arab and Islamic homeland. Our identity is clear, our policy is clear, our words are clear, and our decisions are clear. From 2015 until today, for nearly 12 years, this policy has not changed and will not change. Therefore, intimidation with unclear and undeclared things is intimidation manufactured by American, British, and Israeli intelligence to continue the infighting in the Arab and Islamic milieu.”

He addressed the Yemeni people, saying: “We do not fear any alliances, and we know that you do not fear all the movements and what we have faced since 2015 and before 2015 until today of alliances, aggressions, and crimes. By the grace of God Almighty and by your steadfastness and the steadfastness of the heroic fighters on all fronts, we have been victorious, and everyone who aggresses against our country has met disgrace, shame, infighting among themselves, and disagreement among themselves.”

He added: “We do not consider this party or this new alliance called the ‘Mecca Alliance’ except that they will differ again, because they only serve American and Israeli policy. If America knew that this alliance or new coalition affects Israel or affects its interests, it would be the first to confront it and direct its stopping. But it knows well that this does not affect it, but rather supports the projects of American-Israeli hegemony in the region and confronts all free people who confront this policy.”

The member of the Supreme Political Council renewed the call to all members of this alliance called the “Mecca Defense Alliance” to exit this alliance and understand that wise policy is not in aggressive alliances against Yemen, and to head toward the real and effective issue: in reconciliation, in peace in the region, peace for our brothers in Palestine, defending our brothers in Palestine, and also liberating this region from American and Israeli hegemony. With its liberation, their interests will be liberated, the seas will be liberated, and Arab and Islamic security will be liberated from this hegemony imposed on the Ummah by America, Israel, and the countries that ally with them.

Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi expressed hope that these meetings will have a role in making peace in the region. He said: “We are not against peace, but we are against the continuation of our occupation, the aggression against our country and our region, and the commission of crimes against the sons of our people.”

He added: “This is what everyone must understand: we are not advocates of war, but advocates of freedom, independence, and advocates of true peace, a peace that achieves the interests of our homeland, our people, and our Ummah.”
