United Nations: Israeli Army Detains at Least 250 People in Southern Syria

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) stated on Tuesday that the Israeli army has detained at least 250 people in southern Syria, including children, since December 2024.

In a press statement at the UN headquarters in Geneva, the OHCHR called on Israel to end all its violations of international humanitarian law in Syria, conduct urgent and independent investigations into these violations, and hold those responsible accountable, according to Anadolu Agency.
