Jun 14th, the Prime Minister Bin Habtoor met the Russian acting ambassador in the capital Sana’a with the presence of the Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf.
During the meeting, Bin Habtoor stressed on the importance of Russian vital role that could Russia plays as an impartial mediator to achieve an honest peaceful solution that Yemeni people seek.
They discussed the relations of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
They also discussed the reality and nature of the humanitarian challenges faced by the Yemeni people as a result of the Saudi aggression and the unjust blockade on the country, stressing on the importance of the international community to take serious steps, especially Russia, to lift the blockade and aggression on Yemen.
Dr. Habtoor expressed his appreciation for Russia’s responsible positions towards the Yemeni people in the various circumstances that they went through during the past period ,pointing out to the hopes of the Russian role could be played in conveying the suffering of Yemenis to the world and working to stop the aggression and lift blockade .
In his part, the charge d’affaires of the Russian Embassy in Sana’a confirmed that his country supports any initiative or efforts that would bring peace to the Yemeni people and end their current suffering.
Russia will continue to be with Yemen, because it is good for all of us, for their security and their future, as well as for the stability of the region, he added
He expressed his sincere wishes that peace prevail in Yemen and Yemenis enjoy security and stability in the near future.
