Saleh al-Samad, the head of Supreme Political Council, said on Monday, UN envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, no longer allowed Enter Yemen.
“The envoy is no longer welcome here. There will be no more contact with Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmad and he is not welcome here,” al-Samad said at 10th of Ramadan Meeting.
Meanwhile, Ansarallah spokesman Mohammed Abdul-Salam supported al-Samad’s speech and accused the UN envoy of having abandoned his neutrality regarding the conflict in Yemen and not respecting UN resolutions.
Al-Samad added that the new decision had been taken jointly by the Houthis and their allies in the General People’s Congress (GPC) party.
Ansar Allah and GPC have refused to meet Cheikh during his latest visit to Yemen.
